Sopir dan Penumpang Wanita Adu Jotos, Bus Terjun ke Sungai

CHONGQING - Sebanyak 15 orang tewas dalam insiden tragis yang dialami sebuah bus di China. Kendaraan itu terjun ke Sungai Yangtze yang terkenal dingin setelah sopir dan penumpang wanita adu jotos.
Bus melanju kencang dan berbelok melewati jembatan sebelum akhirnya jatuh 60 meter ke dalam perairan dingin Sungai Yangtze.
"Lima belas nyawa hilang dalam sekejap, pelajaran dari ini sangat menyakitkan," kata seorang petugas polisi setempat sebagaimana dikutip Channel News Asia, Jumat (2/11/2018).
Insiden tragis ini terjadi haru Minggu sekitar pukul 10.00 pagi waktu setempat di Chongqing, China barat daya.
Saksi mata mengaku melihat bus berbelok untuk menghindari kendaraan lain. Namun, rekaman terbaru menunjukkan penyebab sebenarnya dari kecelakaan itu, yakni adu jotos antara penumpang wanita yang marah dan sopir.
Perekam kotak hitam bus tersebut juga mengonfirmasi perkelahian di mana seorang wanita berusia 48 tahun menyerang sopir bus. Perkelahian terjadi setelah tujuan pemberhentian penumpang itu terlewatkan dan sopir menolak menurunkannya di jembatan di Chongqing.
Wanita itu pertama memukul dengan tangannya sebelum melemparkan ponsel ke kepala sopir. Sang sopir mencoba melawan sehingga kehilangan kendali kendaraan. Sopir tersebut banting setir ke kiri dan menabrak pagar pengaman jembatan sebelum akhirnya jatuh ke sungai.
Polisi memeriksa hampir 2.300 jam video pengawas di sepanjang rute bus untuk menentukan penyebab kecelakaan tragis tersebut.
Pihak berwenang menyalahkan sopir bus berusia 42 tahun itu karena tidak mengikuti protokol keselamatan. Kendati demikian, pihak berwenang memutuskan penumpang wanita dan sopir sama-sama telah melanggar hukum dan membahayakan keselamatan publik.
Video rekaman insiden tragis itu telah beredar di media sosial China, Weibo.
"Jika wanita itu tidak menyerang pengemudi secara fisik, apakah kecelakaan ini akan terjadi pada bus Rute 22?," tulis salah satu pengguna media sosial China.
Pada Rabu malam, crane telah menarik rongsokan bus dari sungai setelah tenggelam pada kedalaman 70 meter (230 kaki) di bawah air sungai.
